Job Summary:As a driver for individuals with disabilities, you will be responsible for transporting passengers in a timely and safe manner. This includes maintaining a secure environment for passengers, providing physical assistance when requested, and exercising patience and sensitivity towards all passengers.
Key Responsibilities:- Transporting passengers as listed on a driver manifest, including designated pick-up and drop-off locations and times.
- Maintaining a secure environment for passengers, including escorting riders from the curb to and from the vehicle and providing physical assistance when requested.
- Exercising patience and sensitivity towards all passengers and practicing professionalism in action and speech.
- Operating company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
- Ensuring proper maintenance of vehicle, including checking oil and fuel, keeping the vehicle neat and clean, and reporting all accidents/damage/malfunctions to the manager.
- Communicating with dispatch via the Garmin System.
- Reporting all customer complaints to the manager immediately.
- Valid Class C Driver's License or Commercial License Required
- Safe driving history
- Ability to be insured by the company's insurance policy
- CPR certification
- VDDP CERTIFICATION
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior driving experience helpful. Minimum of 3 years experience in transportation of individuals with disabilities.
