Treatment Support Technician 2

Gateway Rehab is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Treatment Support Technician 2 to join our team in Ohioville, PA. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating programming and ensuring the integrity of the therapeutic milieu.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate discussion groups and activities to promote patient engagement and participation.
  • Monitor patient behavior and provide support as needed to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Conduct handbook orientation and provide patients with essential information about our program.
  • Conduct searches of patient belongings, rooms, and person to maintain a secure environment.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical staff and patients to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Assist patients in completing patient assessment forms and provide guidance as needed.
  • Assist with phone calls to family members/friends and referral sources to facilitate communication and support.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and provide support to patients in need.
  • Transport patients to meetings, if applicable, and provide support during these events.
  • Document involvement with patients in progress notes to ensure accurate and timely communication.
  • Collect urine and complete paperwork for drug screening as necessary to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Provide post-discharge contacts/referrals under therapist direction to support patients in their recovery journey.
  • Monitor medication taken by clients and document accordingly, if applicable, to ensure patient safety.
  • Work in the gift shop, if applicable, to provide patients with access to essential items.
  • Manage menu and nutrition needs, if applicable, to ensure patients receive adequate nutrition and support.
  • Manage donation and patient requests, if applicable, to ensure patients receive necessary support and resources.
  • Monitor smoke breaks in the hospital setting, if applicable, to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Complete intake paperwork as needed to ensure accurate and timely communication.
  • Monitor clients' ADLs - including chores, behaviors, and grooming issues - to ensure patients receive necessary support and resources.
  • Remain on duty until relieved to ensure continuity of care and support.
  • Attend mandatory GRC trainings and in-services to ensure compliance with program requirements and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required to transport patients to and from appointments, support groups, activities, or other travel as assigned.
  • Pass a PA Criminal History Record Check and obtain PA or a State Child Abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances.
  • Obtain CPR/First Aid training and pass a drug screen.
  • Must attest to at least 18 months in recovery from substance use disorder, if living a life of recovery.
