Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales and service partners to provide tailored solutions that meet our customers' needs and drive business growth.
  • Evaluate and select risk to ensure the profitable acquisition of new cases and the continued profitable retention of in-force cases.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure business guidelines, target profit, and metrics are met, and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures in support of product development initiatives, and maintain a deep understanding of our product portfolio, sales, implementation, and enrollment processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, and deliver exceptional service while acting as a technical resource and mentor for junior underwriters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with relevant business experience and a strong understanding of product provisions, plan designs, pricing, and contractual benefits.
  • Demonstrated proficiency at a Senior Underwriter level, with excellent technical expertise in risk selection and a strong understanding of top-line and bottom-line objectives.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
