Patient Experience Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Experience Coordinator to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our medical office staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service. This includes participating in leadership rounding, ensuring that front line staff adhere to our standards of performance, and serving as a supervisor for our front desk staff. Responsibilities:
Participate in leadership rounding to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care and service
Ensure that front line staff adhere to our standards of performance
Serve as a supervisor for our front desk staff
Participate in staff counsel and make decisions to solve problems
Maintain the reception area, including the waiting room
Verify insurance eligibility and print encounter forms for each day's appointments
Ensure that all patients are greeted in a timely manner and provide necessary forms to new patients
Collect co-pays and log them appropriately at the time of check-in
Contact patients by telephone to communicate scheduling information within established time frames
Pull charts for nurses to prepare for patient visits, if applicable
Organize check-in/check-out tasks and coordinate workflow patterns
Ensure that patients have all information and questions answered about their health and treatments received
Complete all documentation for observation, planning, and evaluation of care provided to patients
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of previous medical office experience working within a patient registration, reception, or billing role
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence
