About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Therapist Coordinator to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc.

Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Therapist Coordinator will be responsible for developing and coordinating patient assignments daily, working closely with the Therapy Supervisor to coordinate staff usage, competence, and delivery of services. This role will provide and document counseling services, including group therapy, individual therapy, social assessments, and appropriate discharge planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate patient assignments daily
  • Work closely with the Therapy Supervisor to coordinate staff usage, competence, and delivery of services
  • Provide and document counseling services, including group therapy, individual therapy, social assessments, and appropriate discharge planning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure effective treatment and a safe therapeutic milieu
  • Coordinate discharge planning for assigned patients to ensure appropriate continuity of care upon discharge
  • Work as a team player with all staff to ensure the safe, productive, and effective operation of the program
Requirements
  • Georgia licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other related field that meets the requirements for licensure in the state of Georgia
  • Minimum of four years of experience in the behavioral health field
  • Leadership experience preferred
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand and walk constantly
  • Ability to push and pull occasionally
  • Ability to read, write, reason, talk, and keyboard frequently
