Senior CMM Programmer

COMPENSATION: $120K - $130K

PLUS COMPANY BONUS

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CMM Programmer with extensive experience in CMM programming utilizing Open-DMIS software and SolidWorks models. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of part drawings, GD&T, and product inspection procedures related to documentation and software control.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop innovative CMM programs from SOLIDWORKS CAD models using OPEN-DMIS, implementing best practices to enhance CMM utilization in a manufacturing setting.
  2. Provide hands-on support for OPEN-DMIS CMM program development.
  3. Leverage the latest software capabilities and industry best practices.
  4. Assist in process development for new product introductions.
  5. Drive cost reduction initiatives through efficient CMM methods and innovative mistake-proofing techniques.
  6. Recommend tooling solutions to optimize programming and CMM capabilities.
  7. Offer troubleshooting expertise to maximize CMM utilization in production environments.
  8. Support continuous improvement of documented best practices and standard operating procedures for CMM programming and operations.
  9. Correlate inspection programs and resolve complex correlation challenges.
  10. Standardize and document effective and accurate part setup methods.
  11. Train Operators on setup methods and program operation, ensuring compliance with manufacturing software control procedures.
  12. Lead a team of CMM Programmers and Operators to fulfill the CMM requirements of the organization.
  13. Utilize Verisurf software as needed.
  14. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of CMM Programming experience (required).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
