Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Valkyrie Enterprises. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of Telecommunication Structured Cabling Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and terminate cabling systems, including CAT 5e, CAT 6, Fiber Optics, and Coaxial, in accordance with EIA/TIA standards.
  • Read and understand Telecom blueprints and specifications.
  • Ensure proper grounding, safety standards, and NEC compliance.
  • Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of telecom cabling systems.
  • Work independently or under limited supervision to complete tasks and projects.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of technical experience.
  • Technical experience with installation of Telecommunication Cabling Systems.
  • Experience with Telecom installation systems, including Telecom Room Build-Out, Fiber Optic terminations, and UTP/STP Category 6 cooper terminations.
  • Knowledge of industry-leading manufacture installation and termination practices.
  • Ability to work independently and under limited supervision.
  • US Citizenship and a current Passport and valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BISCI Technician or Installer Certification.
  • Manufacture Installer Certifications.
  • At least 2 years' experience with installation of Telecommunication Cabling Systems.
Security Requirements:
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
Travel Requirements:
  • More than 95% Travel-International/domestic airline travel (coach only).
  • Extended hotel stays.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to reach, climb, stoop, and kneel up to 75% of the time.
  • Repetitive motion, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Pay Range: $82,000 - $83,200 per year
