Position Overview:

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Role:

Jerome Home is seeking a dedicated Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistant to support our short-term rehabilitation efforts and provide care for our long-term residents. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in planning, organizing, and directing services in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
  • Communicate physical therapy policies and procedures to staff, residents, and family members as necessary.
  • Participate in discharge planning and the development and implementation of resident care plans and assessments.
  • Review requests for physical therapy and physicians' orders.
  • Conduct interviews with residents to determine the type of treatment required and schedule therapy sessions accordingly.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid PTA License from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience as a PTA in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical environment is required.
  • Ability to work effectively with the elderly population is essential.
