Role of the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA):
Jerome Home is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support our rehabilitation services and care for our long-term residents. This position offers a competitive salary and a flexible work schedule.
About Jerome Home:
Jerome Home is a 120-bed Long Term Care Facility. We are a privately-owned, not-for-profit organization established in 1932, providing a range of services including short-term rehabilitation and hospice care. Our facility is equipped with advanced programs such as Rehab Optima and Matrix.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in planning, organizing, and directing therapy services in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Communicate physical therapy policies and procedures to staff, residents, and family members as necessary.
- Engage in discharge planning and contribute to the development and implementation of resident care plans.
- Review requests for physical therapy and physician orders.
- Conduct interviews with residents to determine treatment needs and schedule therapy sessions.
- Must possess a valid PTA License from an accredited institution.
- Experience as a PTA in a healthcare setting is required.
- Ability to work effectively with the elderly population.
