Job Summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Safety Professional 1 to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing Construction Project Safety, Health, and Risk Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with General Contractors and owners to ensure compliance with site conditions and Non-Compliance Notices.
  • Participate in meetings with customers, project team members, and contractors/subcontractors to advise on project-specific mitigation plans, safety training programs, and technical reports.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Site-Specific Accident Prevention Programs and training plans to meet project safety plan specifications and requirements.
  • Lead the Operational Risk Management team in reviewing, interpreting, and developing project safety plans based on project, client/owner, Program Manager, and General Contractor specifications, design drawings, regulations, and existing safety systems.
  • Conduct incident/investigation reporting and maintain knowledge of safety and health standards, rules, regulations, and safe work practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint.
Requirements
  • 6-8 years of experience with a high school diploma.
  • 4-6 years of experience with an Associate's Degree.
  • 0-2 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience conducting safety training, regulatory compliance, and expertise in OSHA, DOT compliance, insurance audits, workers' compensation, and project health surveys.
  • Safety Management Systems knowledge, skill, and experience.
  • ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000.
  • Understanding of culture and culture-building skills.
  • Trainer Designation - OSHA 500/502 - Safety and Health/Occupational Safety degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Willingness to pursue Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).
  • Previous electrical/construction/industrial/federal and commercial S&H experience.
