Position Summary
ARC3 is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Regional Floater within our Virginia Central Region, which encompasses various locations. This position is vital for cultivating and sustaining robust customer relationships, as you will engage directly with our customers on a daily basis. The role may involve physical demands and time-sensitive tasks, yet it offers significant rewards as you build trust with our customers through consistently outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist customers at the counter and in-store as needed.
- Conduct route sales and provide assistance at customer locations when required.
- Support inventory management, maintain cleanliness, and manage showroom displays and demonstrations as necessary.
- Deliver exceptional customer service promptly by responding to phone inquiries, addressing customer complaints, managing paperwork related to purchases, retrieving stock, and aiding in loading customer vehicles.
- Guide customers on necessary equipment and materials, as well as procedures to accomplish their tasks.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of welding products and self-management abilities to ensure superior customer service.
- Safely and efficiently load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders containing compressed gases, while also retrieving empty cylinders.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and comply with DOT and OSHA standards.
- Maintain the appropriate driver's license and endorsements.
- Inspect vehicles before and after use according to company maintenance protocols.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of your vehicle.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Two or more years of experience in the welding industry.
- Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Required: Class B CDL with HazMat, airbrakes, and tanker endorsements.
- Preferred: Knowledge of industry-related products and experience with compressed gases.
- Preferred: Customer service or sales experience.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must meet all physical qualification standards mandated for truck drivers.
- Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to work independently, with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service and time-management skills.
- Strong driving record.
- Ability to routinely lift weights between 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift over 100 lbs.
- Must be capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and frequent bending.
- Must operate in a drug-free environment.
