Job Title: Watch Commander

HBC Management Services Inc. is seeking a seasoned Watch Commander to join our team at the IRS Headquarters in Washington DC. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Protective Security Officer (PSO) team and ensuring the highest security standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a positive and high-performance team of PSOs, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company personnel and safety policies, ensuring staff perform duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Manage the staffing of posts at the site, ensuring complete coverage for vacations, illness, and call-offs.
  • Conduct Guard Mount and pass down information, ensuring the guard force is compliant with federal, state, and local training and certification requirements.
  • Ensure all officers receive and understand new, changed, or special instructions, promoting a culture of clear communication.
  • Ensure the guard force adheres to the Company's professional uniform and grooming standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Ensure accountability for the proper use and maintenance of all equipment used at all posts by assigned PSOs.
  • Ensure clarity, completeness, accuracy, and legibility of all written reports, timesheets, and log entries.
  • Conduct investigations into security matters and report findings to the chain-of-command.
  • Ensure the accuracy of start and end times, meal and break periods are documented on daily timekeeping systems.
  • Ensure the safety of the security force by complying with our company safety policies and procedures.
  • Promote our Company's values of integrity, fairness, teamwork, diversity, high ethical standards, and genuine care for your co-workers and our customer.
Requirements:
  • Minimum five (5) years demonstrated specialized civilian or military and commercial law enforcement and security force experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in field supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Active DHS Suitability.
