Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified individual for the role of Chairperson of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This leadership position is vital for overseeing the comprehensive healthcare services provided in our facility.
About the Organization:
- Our Medical Center boasts an impressive annual record of 1500 deliveries, supported by a level 3a neonatal intensive care unit.
- We cater to a diverse community, collaborating with three independent physician groups.
- Our hospitalist program is robust, featuring advanced practitioner support to enhance patient care.
- We ensure 24-hour in-house coverage for Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Anesthesia to guarantee patient safety and quality service.
- Annually, we conduct 500 gynecologic procedures, including gynecologic oncology and urogynecology.
- As the primary teaching hospital for the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, we provide education for medical and physician assistant students.
About the Opportunity:
- The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, with a focus on team development, program enhancement, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Expertise in Obstetrical practices is essential for this role.
- Reporting directly to the Vice President of Medical Affairs, the Chairperson will lead the Obstetrics & Gynecology department, ensuring the safety, quality, and service delivery of departmental operations while formulating strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
- This individual will serve as the primary educator and site director for the OB/Gyn segment of the Family Practice Residency Program and will hold the academic chairperson position at the Department of OB/GYN at the Netter School of Medicine.
