About the Organization:

  • Our Medical Center is recognized for conducting approximately 1500 deliveries annually, supported by a level 3a neonatal intensive care unit.
  • The facility serves a diverse community and collaborates with three independent physician groups.
  • We maintain a strong hospitalist program, enhanced by advanced practitioner support.
  • Our team includes 24-hour in-house coverage for Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Anesthesia, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • We perform around 500 gynecologic procedures each year, encompassing gynecologic oncology and urogynecology.
  • As the primary teaching hospital for the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, we provide educational opportunities for medical and physician assistant students.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities, with a focus on team development, program advancement, and a dedication to quality and safety.
  • Expertise in Obstetrical practices is essential.
  • Reporting directly to the Vice President of Medical Affairs, the Chairperson will oversee departmental safety, quality, and service, while also guiding the development of departmental objectives and goals.
  • This role includes responsibilities as the primary educator and site director for the OB/Gyn segment of the Family Practice Residency Program, as well as serving as the academic chairperson for the Department of OB/GYN at the Netter School of Medicine.
