Job Summary:
The Food & Nutrition Patient Service Representative will be an experienced and competent professional who is responsible for obtaining food preferences, preparing, and distributing quality food and supplies to patients daily. This role will exemplify excellent customer service to all patients and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist.
- Meet mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the Performance Management Plan.
- Integrate ethics in all areas of practice.
- Adhere to confidentiality and patients rights policies.
- Support the facilities mission and values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of patient safety science principles, theory, methods, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with patient safety analysis techniques, including root cause analysis, cause and effect analysis, and failure mode and effect analysis.
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
- Ability to use database software to enter, retrieve, sort, and filter information as necessary for reporting or report generation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire.
