Job Overview

The Bridge Construction Project Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of bridge construction projects. This position is responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, coordinating materials, equipment, subcontractors, and labor to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project timeline, ensuring all phases are on track.
  • Thoroughly understand and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
  • Manage project costs and safeguard company resources.
  • Oversee project documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and material suppliers to streamline operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide leadership and foster positive relationships with on-site personnel.
  • Uphold safety, quality, and efficiency standards throughout the project.
  • Create daily crew assignments and oversee field operations to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with foremen to discuss project progress.
  • Prepare two-week forecasts to identify potential issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements for all projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project owners.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in supervising bridge construction projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in a related role.
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time exempt position, typically requiring 40 hours per week, with a focus on fulfilling the responsibilities of the role.
