Job Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee utility construction and maintenance initiatives, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage large-scale projects including residential developments, commercial sites, and significant system enhancements.
- Conduct design evaluations, approve cost estimates, and monitor project activities.
- Ensure compliance and thoroughness in field operations.
- Lead teams in addressing customer inquiries, right-of-way issues, and damage claims.
- Engage in capital management processes and project presentations.
- Coordinate job requirements with customers, team members, and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate project scheduling and prioritize tasks to meet organizational and client needs.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to Project Leaders and Designers.
- Administer line extension agreements and direct project teams.
- Negotiate and manage contracts for various project needs.
- Contribute to personnel recommendations and team performance evaluations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of gas and electric systems, including design and construction principles.
- Strong public relations skills to foster relationships with customers and community leaders.
- Ability to interpret industry standards and regulations effectively.
- Experience in outage coordination and project management.
- Proficient in contract administration and utility policies.
- Demonstrated decision-making capabilities with a focus on teamwork and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 7-8 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in project management or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience in utility design or construction.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver's license required.
