Outpatient Addictions Peer Support Specialist

{"title": "Peer Support Specialist", "description": "At Columbia Community Mental Health, we are seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our Outpatient Addictions Services team. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will provide peer-based, supportive services to adults, children, adolescents, and families. You will work in an office environment as well as in the community, driving to different locations within Columbia County and occasionally to locations elsewhere in the Portland Metro.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide peer-based, supportive services to adults, children, adolescents, and families
* Work in an office environment as well as in the community
* Drive to different locations within Columbia County and occasionally to locations elsewhere in the Portland Metro
* Maintain current Oregon driver's license
* Register with the state as a Peer Support Specialist
**Requirements:**
* Peer Support Certification required (PSS, PWS, or CRM)
* 1 year of direct support experience in the mental wellness field, particularly as PSS, PWS, CRM preferred
* Lived experience with either mental health, substance use, houselessness, restrictive environments, and/or altered states required
* Incumbents with a history of substance use challenges must be in recovery and free of problems relating to active substance use for 2 full years preceding date of hire and must maintain this recovery
* Must maintain current Oregon driver's license
* All applicants must have completed peer support certification training and be registered with the state
