Lead Fundraising Strategist for Women In Film

About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Fund Development to lead our fundraising efforts and drive growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive development strategy, identifying new sources of funding, and cultivating major donors and corporate partners.
Job Description:
As a Director of Fund Development, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our CEO, Board of Directors, and senior management team to drive fundraising success. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a strategic plan to achieve annual fundraising goals.
- Maintaining and cultivating relationships with major donors and corporate partners.
- Researching and identifying new potential sources of funding, including grants, foundations, and individual donors.
- Collaborating with our Director of Communications to develop effective fundraising campaigns and promotional materials.
- Supervising and managing a team of development professionals, including a Head of Corporate Giving, Manager of Memberships and Grants, and Development Coordinator.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in fundraising, with increasing levels of responsibility and success.
- Experience working in the entertainment industry is strongly preferred.
- Executive-level expertise in individual major donor gifts and experience with corporate sponsors and grants.
- Proven track record of meeting annual revenue goals and well-honed skills in developing long-term individual cultivation and solicitation strategies.
- Proven leadership in effectively managing staff and building teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with direct donor interaction.
Benefits:
This is an exempt position with an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $135,000 per year, based on location and experience. The position also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
Work Location and Schedule:
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a hybrid environment, with two days in our Los Angeles office and three days remote. Work is primarily in an office environment or at offsite event venues.
