Job Title: Primary Care Surgery and Clinic Nurse

Join the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine as a Primary Care Surgery and Clinic Nurse. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our veterinary students and clinicians.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining smooth surgical flow for a busy clinic with an average of 15 patients per day.
  • Monitor anesthesia with a clear understanding of normal and abnormal conditions, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Utilize strong venipuncture skills to facilitate blood draws and IV catheter placements.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate completion of paperwork and maintenance of patient records.
  • Work collaboratively with the Primary Care Surgeon, Nurse Coordinator, and students to provide optimal care.
Requirements:
  • Must be a CVT/LVT/RVT with 3 years' experience in general practice with anesthesia.
  • Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or surgical setting is preferred.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the capability to take direction, initiate tasks and make contributions to the team.
