Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Port Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Centerline Logistics Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance requirements on our fleet of tugs and barges, ensuring they are in top working condition at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on marine equipment, including inspections and repairs, to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, welders, and vessel crew members to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Assist in maintaining the project management schedule of equipment and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct safety talks and job safety analyses to promote a safe working environment.
  • Oversee and follow up on E-Maintenance for company vessels and coastal fleet in SF bay.
  • Ensure LMS yard/shops comply with county and state environmental regulations.
  • Perform facility maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in maintaining tugs and barges, preferably with Caterpillar engine experience.
  • Marine engine and gear experience, as well as experience with vessel electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and adapt to varying schedules and hours.
  • HAZWOPER and Incident Command System training within 90 days of hire.
  • First Aid and CPR training.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and bending.
Working Conditions

The Port Maintenance Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, often in adverse weather conditions. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The successful candidate will be physically fit and able to perform the duties of the role.
