The Assistant Professor in Addiction Medicine will play a crucial role within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This position is dedicated to the education of medical students and residents, fostering a comprehensive understanding of addiction medicine.
In addition to educational responsibilities, the role includes providing clinical services within the healthcare system. A commitment to clinical research and service is essential, alongside a robust clinical background that meets the qualifications for faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.
- Deliver clinical services related to addiction medicine.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives.
- Collaborate with existing faculty and staff in the field of addiction medicine.
Environmental Considerations:
Potential exposure to hazardous materials and bloodborne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds, perform various physical activities including standing, walking, and repetitive motions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
