About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapist to join our team at Walden Behavioral Care, a leading national specialty healthcare system dedicated to serving individuals with eating disorders. As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of the Program Director.

This is a Per Diem position with some evening availability preferred. Licensure in MA is required, and licensure in CT is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical social work and case management in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care and the NASW.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments, participate in treatment planning, utilization review, and discharge planning for an average of 8 patients.
  • Manage cases in both the partial hospital and intensive outpatient programs for eating disorders.
  • Manage cases for primarily the adult population with an expectation of some coverage in the adolescent programs.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources.
  • Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team and Walden continuum.
  • Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed staff as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: PhD, PsyD, Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting, preferably in an eating disorders program.
  • Licensure/Certification: Independent License, preferred. Licensure required in MA, licensure preferred in CT. Current CPR certification.
  • Knowledge: Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills. Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships processes, age-specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
