Position Overview:

As our quantitative division expands, we are in search of a select group of outstanding technologists to develop solutions for our trading desk and the foundational quantitative research and trading platform.

You will collaborate closely with quantitative portfolio managers to transform research concepts into executable trading strategies, constructing research infrastructure (market data, backtesting, computational resources) and trading platforms (position management, risk assessment, controls, strategy frameworks, deployment, visualization, observability). Your programming will facilitate the trading of substantial sums, hence we emphasize the ability to act swiftly while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and engineering principles to produce clean, reliable code that can be utilized by fellow engineers and Quant PMs.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in financial engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Python programming.
  • Strong software engineering principles: capable of writing well-structured, clean code with exceptional testing standards.
  • Experience in developing mission-critical production code with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with FX, Futures, or Options trading is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in implementing systematic trading strategies or constructing trading platforms (systematic, high-frequency trading, or execution) is beneficial but not essential.

PIMCO adopts a total compensation strategy for rewarding employees, which encompasses a base salary and a discretionary bonus. The base salary is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market conditions.
