Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vial Mate Assembly Production Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating assembly equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring raw materials are ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate assembly equipment in Devices departments to ensure efficient production.
  • Perform line clearance, quality checks, and machine parameter verification to ensure product quality.
  • Ensure raw materials, printing, and packaging materials are ready for production to meet customer demands.
  • Challenge vision system, USON Tester, Welders, and Silicon system per operating procedures when applicable to ensure product quality.
  • Use blueprints, specifications, Bill of Materials, and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure product or process acceptability.
  • Stack-off master cartons and move finished goods with forklift to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make required adjustments and minor equipment repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in and complete all required training to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the working area and 6S responsibilities as assigned to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or Equivalency required. Additional technical experience, training, or education a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude required to operate assembly equipment and troubleshoot issues.
  • Capability to comprehend and interpret computer control documents and specifications to ensure product quality.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use software applications to manage inventory and track production.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures to ensure product or process acceptability.
  • Trained as forklift driver preferred to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required to meet customer demands.
  • Audiometric testing and hearing protection required to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and climb ladders to perform tasks in the production area.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time to ensure efficient production.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repetitively to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Meet visual acuity requirements as documented in the Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity procedure CL.

What We Offer

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary range of $42,000.00 to $48,000.00 per year. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
