Job Summary

The Meat Department Manager is a key leadership role at Festival Foods, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the meat department. This position requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team of meat department associates
    • Coach and train associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to associates
  • Customer Service and Sales
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and are satisfied with their shopping experience
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty
    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Inventory Management and Merchandising
    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and rotation of meat products to ensure that they are fresh and of high quality
    • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement
    • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Store Operations and Safety
    • Ensure that the meat department is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times
    • Develop and implement procedures to ensure that all safety protocols are followed
    • Monitor and report any safety incidents or concerns to management
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in the retail or food industry
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
    • Excellent customer service and sales skills
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions
    • Strong inventory management and merchandising skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
