Supervisor Respiratory Therapy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our Respiratory Therapy Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our respiratory therapy services, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and staff productivity.
- Develop and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with departmental leadership to achieve productivity, budgetary, and quality targets, while promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to respiratory therapy staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with governing agency standards, ensuring optimal quality control and efficiency.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new programs, site projects, and standardized competencies, working closely with leadership and committees to drive innovation and excellence.
- Assist with the identification of community needs and develop programs to meet those needs, promoting the department's services and expertise.
- Perform human resources responsibilities, including coaching, performance reviews, and staff morale, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in a respiratory therapist role.
