Job Overview

VCU Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our equipment maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment is properly maintained, tested, and calibrated to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

About the Role

The Medical Equipment Specialist will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of medical equipment, including scopes and probes. This will involve troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner, as well as ensuring that all equipment is properly stored and inventoried. Additionally, the Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of all work performed, as well as communicating effectively with clinical staff and patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; electronic equipment maintenance or repair training preferred
  • Previous experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment is highly desirable
  • Ability to lift 20-50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
