Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Equipment Specialist to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing properly functioning respiratory care equipment to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, clean, reassemble, and perform preventive maintenance on select respiratory care equipment.
  • Verify operational readiness of equipment.
  • Organize, monitor, and maintain appropriate consumable and capital inventory levels.
  • Document charges in the computer for respiratory care modalities rendered on the previous day.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate (or GED).
  • Previous work experience with respiratory care equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to work the day or evening shift as required.
  • Ability to work every other weekend.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical Lifting 20-50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing.
  • Frequent bending.
  • Reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive).

Mental/Sensory Requirements:

  • Strong recall.
  • Reasoning.
  • Problem solving.
  • Hearing.
  • Speak clearly.
  • Write legibly.
  • Reading.
  • Logical thinking.

Work Environment:

Workday Night (United States of America).
