Job Summary

MaineHealth is seeking a skilled Accreditation and Compliance Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring our healthcare operations meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist leaders and managers in assessing adherence to accreditation and licensing standards, identifying areas for improvement, and developing action plans to address gaps.
  • Organize and lead mock surveys and readiness audits to ensure our organization is prepared for accreditation surveys.
  • Maintain an up-to-date Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) plan, coordinate activities during surveys, and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Help draft and submit plans of correction and lead inter-professional teams in addressing survey deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with at least five years of relevant healthcare experience or bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant healthcare experience.
  • Familiarity with The Joint Commission, CMS, and State accreditation standards.
  • Experience working with inter-professional teams in addressing organization-wide problems.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
