Job Title: Clerical Support Specialist for Hays County

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clerical Support Specialist to join our team in the Hays County Clerk's Office.

• Salary Range: $40,063.00 - $41,265.00 Annually

• Job Type: Full-Time Regular

• Department: County Clerk

About the Role:

As a Clerical Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to the Hays County Clerk by performing various clerical tasks.

You will maintain, organize, and categorize documents, exhibits, reports, and confidential records relating to County Court at law cases.

• Assist customers and callers regarding County Clerk filings or direct them to the appropriate office or staff.

• Receive payments and issue receipts for probate, civil, and criminal payments.

• Perform searches and locate information for attorneys, District Attorney staff, other county personnel, and the public.

• Enter and scan information into the computer system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all files and records are accurately maintained and up-to-date.

• Assist with reconciling payments received daily.

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.

Requirements:

• Requires High School degree or equivalent.

• Two years secretarial experience preferably in a judicial or legal setting.

• Valid Texas Class C driver's license.

• Will be subject to a criminal history background check.
