Position Overview:
Element Resources is a prominent player in the Battery Recycling sector, proudly serving the Muncie community for over three decades.
As a leader in recycling, we contribute significantly to the supply of recycled materials for battery manufacturers across the nation, ensuring the production of high-quality batteries essential for powering vehicles and supporting the supply chain.
This role involves working night shifts, with a 12-hour continental schedule from 6 PM to 6:30 AM, alternating between three and four days each week.Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various mechanical systems including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, flue pipes, water lines, burner systems, air compressors, and hydraulic systems.
2. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all piping systems within the facility.
3. Manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of valves, hoses, fittings, bearings, gauges, and meters throughout the facility.
4. Perform welding and repair tasks on carbon and stainless steel materials, adhering to AWS D1.1 standards.
5. Interpret blueprints or sketches for layout and fabrication tasks.
6. Collaborate with team members and supervisors across departments to identify issues and devise effective solutions.
7. Conduct repairs and maintenance of buildings and associated systems as necessary.
8. Engage in basic electrical troubleshooting, including motor control circuits and motor replacements.
9. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
10. Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications:
1. Possession of an AWS D1.1 certification is mandatory.
2. Experience in rigging and lifting operations.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
4. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems; L2L, MP2, Maximo, etc.) is advantageous.
5. Capability to operate a manlift and forklift is required.
6. Must be able to enter confined spaces and navigate fixed/portable ladders.
7. Experience operating cranes and obtaining certification for mobile crane operation is necessary.
8. NFPA 70E certification is a plus; training will be provided if not currently held.
9. Basic First Aid and CPR certification is required.
