Role OverviewThe Quality Engineer will be responsible for defining qualification standards that align with industry JEDEC benchmarks and internal Micron specifications. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of failure analysis and failure rates throughout the qualification process.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct risk assessments at critical decision points during the qualification cycle.
- Review and validate qualification data, ensuring all quality requirements are satisfied.
- Issue internal notifications regarding product releases for qualification.
- Develop methodologies for product reliability, including metrics and specifications.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to address new DRAM processes and reliability challenges.
- Design reliability tests to evaluate new DRAM failure mechanisms.
- Define and enforce quality standards across existing products.
- Establish and review reliability and quality metrics.
- Assess deviations in DRAM product quality and reliability risks, proposing necessary evaluations to mitigate these risks.
- Analyze excursion and conversion data to communicate any violations of established criteria.
- Provide expertise and consultation on quality issues and support global quality meetings.
- Mentor and train new team members, fostering talent development.
- Interface with engineering teams to address quality concerns.
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role or a related occupation.
