Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coding Supervisor to join our team at Piedmont Urgent Care Defunct. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle Team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of coding and revenue cycle operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of Medical Coders to ensure accurate and timely completion of coding for claim submission.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional workgroups/committees as needed, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to represent coding and charge entry issues.
  • Develop reports and presentations for senior management to meet and exceed operational workflow, productivity, and results standards.
  • Provide work assignments, performance feedback, and corrective action as necessary to support the growth and development of team members.
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure consistent coding and documentation policies and procedures are followed.
  • Act as a resource to clinic staff on matters pertaining to the revenue cycle.
Requirements
  • Active CPC Certification or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years of revenue cycle experience, preferably in physician billing.
  • Urgent Care and Occupational Health Billing experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and compliance.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent teamwork mentality.
