About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Solutions Sales Specialist to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for pursuing large opportunities that help our customers modernize their equipment and pursue opportunities for both plan/spec and design/build or direct-to-owner projects.

This role is ideal for individuals who excel at building relationships, have outstanding customer service skills, and love working with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for presenting at customer seminars to develop new and existing customer relationships and opportunities, demonstrating expertise in Commercial HVAC, and promoting Carrier's value proposition by linking customer objectives to Carrier solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Present at customer seminars to develop new and existing customer relationships and opportunities
  • Demonstrate expertise in Commercial HVAC
  • Promote Carrier value proposition linking customer objectives to Carrier solutions
  • Manage complex multi-service solutions proposals
  • Utilize CRM to manage customer interactions, activities, and opportunity pipeline
  • Demonstrate well-developed sales skills to include expert awareness, commercial acumen, and integrity
  • Seek out and access new Modernization opportunities both with existing customers and new prospect customers
  • Establish and build credibility
  • Develop and sustain customer relationships
  • Create compelling presentations and communicate effectively
  • Detect the Customer's buying stage and adjust selling accordingly
  • Manage multiple activities all occurring at the same time, organize others, and workflow to meet objectives on time
  • Anticipate future trends accurately
  • Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment to gain the order/booking in a timely manner
  • Consistently achieve sales metrics and annual targets
  • Create high-quality timely estimates, bids, and proposals, including detailed cost-benefit analysis to support clients' business case for investment
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 3+ years of B2B technical sales experience
  • Must be able to lift/carry 20 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and be comfortable working on roofs/platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of HVAC Solutions Sales experience
  • Knowledge of the industry, market, and key market participants, specifically medical, pharmaceutical, or education industry within the Boston area
  • Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
  • Extremely comfortable operating in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft-based computer software
  • Outstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a pipeline of long Lead time projects
  • Strong knowledge of offerings and solutions within the industry
  • Understands the customers' decision-making processes, including the buyers and influencers
  • Possesses strong financial and business acumen
  • Understands when to introduce and coordinate other selling roles and support roles into the customer

Pay Range:

$74,181 - $130,206 Annually
