The International Rescue Committee, Louisville Office, is seeking a highly motivated and organized In-Kind Donations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Reception and Placement (R&P) department, you will play a critical role in supporting the resettlement of refugees and other immigrants in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the solicitation and collection of in-kind donations, including household goods, welcome kits, and furniture.
- Work closely with the Operations and Development teams to ensure seamless logistics and record-keeping of in-kind donations.
- Assist in the coordination of donation pickups and deliveries from community members.
- Ensure itemized donation records are completed, signed by clients, and returned to IRC staff.
Requirements:
- Ability to handle sensitive client information confidentially.
- Strong intercultural communication skills and ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to support driving for donation distribution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in languages such as Dari, French, Pashto, Spanish, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, Kibembe, or Chin - Daai.
