Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, NY. This per diem position offers the opportunity to provide critical care to our most vulnerable patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently in high-pressure situations. You will be responsible for providing expert care and rapid response to neonatal emergencies in the NICU and delivery room, as well as collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and manage critically ill neonates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and resuscitation.
  • Assess and monitor the health of neonates, making swift decisions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with families, providing compassionate support and clear explanations during critical situations.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess an applicable New York State license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in neonatal care or NICU.
  • Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
