We are seeking a Certified Patient Care Specialist to join our team at WMCHealth. This role plays a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

About the Role

This position involves working closely with nursing staff to provide assistance and maximize care for patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting information on patient records, taking vital signs, performing point-of-care testing, and assisting with procedures within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities
  • Assist nursing staff with daily physical and emotional care for patients, including close observation when necessary;
  • Participate in unit and team huddles to ensure effective communication and coordination of care;
  • Provide high-quality patient care by following established policies and procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting a safe environment;
  • Support the development of other healthcare professionals through precepting and mentoring.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred;
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required;
  • 1 year of experience working as a nursing assistant or in a related field preferred;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
