Join Our Team as a Child Speech Therapy Specialist
Woodfords Family Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists to become a vital part of our clinical team at our Special Purpose Private School (SPPS).

Position Overview

The SPPS Program is designed to offer educational and behavioral support services to students (PreK-5th grade) diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a nurturing and therapeutic environment.

The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for delivering direct (on-site) speech therapy to a designated group of students and will assist the program in fulfilling the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct necessary speech evaluations for initial placements and ongoing progress assessments.
  • Develop individualized Plans of Care for each student, providing written quarterly reports and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in I.E.P., I.F.S.P., and family meetings as required.
  • Offer training, direction, and support on speech therapy objectives to the Teaching Staff.
  • Supervise speech assistants in accordance with the guidelines set by the Maine Board of Examiners on Speech-Language Pathology.

Collaborate with Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Teaching Staff to ensure cohesive programming for the students.


Schedule & Compensation

This is a calendar year, center-based role with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The weekly schedule is Monday through Friday.

Annual salary ranges from $63,000 to $85,000, based on experience, education, and position status.

A $5,000 Sign-on Bonus is available for full-time SLPs, payable after six months of employment.


Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders is required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
