Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

Woodfords Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our clinical team at our Special Purpose Private School in Westbrook, ME.

Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide direct speech therapy to a caseload of students and collaborate with the program to achieve the following:

  • Conduct speech evaluations for initial placements and ongoing progress assessments.
  • Develop Plans of Care for each student, including written quarterly reports and discharge summaries.
  • Attend I.E.P., I.F.S.P., and family meetings as scheduled or required.
  • Provide training and guidance on speech therapy goals to the teaching staff.
  • Supervise speech assistants in accordance with Maine Board of Examiners on Speech-Language Pathology requirements.
Collaborative Team Environment

The Speech-Language Pathologist will work closely with Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Teaching Staff to provide cohesive programming to students.

Benefits and Compensation

This is a calendar year, center-based position with full-time or part-time opportunities. The weekly schedule is Monday-Friday, with a competitive annual salary of $63,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience, education, and position status. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time SLPs, paid after 6 months of employment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders and excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
