About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team at Bronson Healthcare. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting radiologists during special invasive and non-invasive radiographic scans, as well as performing a diverse range of other diagnostic radiology work on a wide variety of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist radiologists during special procedure studies, including angiograms and vena cavagrams, to provide optimal diagnostic radiology examinations.
  • Perform CT scans on any and all parts of the body as ordered by physicians.
  • Operate highly sophisticated electronic equipment during exams, observing patient vital signs and other pertinent data, and anticipating the needs of radiologists.
  • Administer or assist in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of radiologists.
  • Work as a Radiologic Technologist in other radiology sections as workload requires.
  • Perform maintenance and quality control work on equipment, and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  • Provide first aid as required, and assist in cases of adverse reaction to contrast media or other emergencies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of procedure rooms and equipment, and observe and practice sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient and file information, and demonstrate or oversee on-the-job training for student technologists and other non-professional assistants as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associates degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, and up to one year of additional training and experience.
  • Registered ARRT, and BMH Employees Only: VI registry required within 4 years of hire into special procedures department or from date of notice.
  • BLS required within 6 months after hire.
  • Ability to operate and perform basic computer programs associated with record keeping in the Department.
  • Ability to work in a clean, well-lit, and temperature-controlled environment, with moderate noise levels.
  • Ability to be exposed to infectious diseases and hazardous materials, with observation of normal safety procedures minimizing exposure.
Working Conditions

This role involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects.
