Job Title: On-Call Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine.

Job Summary:

The On-Call Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for radiographic procedures, calculating and selecting technical factors, and maintaining patient files. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures, as well as experience with radiologic equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and position patients for radiographic procedures according to physician specifications.
  • Calculate and select proper technical factors, such as voltage, current, exposure time, and focal distance, based on patient information.
  • Maintain patient files and organize department supplies.
  • Monitor and order department supplies as needed.
  • Be available to work occasional overtime on weekends or evenings to complete time-sensitive projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology and policy/procedure revisions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum one-year experience as a radiology technologist.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures, as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment.
  • A.R.R.T. registry.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Ability to work effectively on group projects with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of principles and process for providing exemplary stakeholder service and support.
