Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Bronson Healthcare. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate diagnostic radiographic equipment to provide optimal imaging results
  • Position patients to obtain and effect the results specified for diagnoses
  • Apply and adjust radiation protective shielding as necessary
  • Assist physicians in administering prescribed radiolucent or radiopaque media for examinations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient and file information
  • Perform first aid as required and assist in cases of adverse reaction to contrast media or in other emergencies
Requirements
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Radiography Program with at least 6 months completed
  • Must show documentation of passing basic competency check off exams
  • BLS certification required
  • Excellent human relation skills to deal with patients, physicians and other in sometimes difficult or sensitive situations
  • Customer service orientation
  • Leadership and organization skills including the ability to work independently and take initiative within established procedures
Work Environment

This position involves considerable standing or walking, regular lifting of light-weight objects (i.e., 20 pounds or less) and assisting with heavier tasks such as assisting in lifting and moving patients.

Work which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time.

Shift and Schedule

This is a part-time position with a variable schedule.
