Interventional Radiology Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our neurovascular imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
  • Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform all specialized imaging procedures, including angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior Interventional Radiology Tech and Neurointerventional Radiology Tech experience is preferred, but willing to train.
