Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Datacenter Technician II to join our team at netPolarity, Inc. (Saicon Consultants, Inc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain datacenter infrastructure, including server racks, switches, routers, and servers.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including single mode fiber, active optical cables, and datacenter switches.
- Ensure proper cabling and labeling of datacenter equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and manage workloads.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of scripting and configuration management tools, such as Salt Stack or Ansible.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience in datacenter installation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including server racks, switches, routers, and servers.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting and configuration management tools, such as Salt Stack or Ansible.
- Knowledge of datacenter security best practices.
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to process improvements.
