Summit Medical Group, a leading healthcare organization in East Tennessee, is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough physical exams and obtain comprehensive medical histories to inform diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and other relevant information.
  • Order and perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures as necessary to support patient care.
  • Develop and implement preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans based on integrated data.
  • Communicate test results and examination findings to patients and families.
  • Provide education and guidance on medications, treatments, and health promotion to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with physicians to manage acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
  • Ensure continuity of care between physician visits through monitoring and follow-up.
  • Triage nursing and family telephone calls and provide consultation as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
  • Minimum of three years of previous patient care experience in a clinic setting, with a preference for two years of APN or PA experience.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Tennessee, or current Physician Assistant licensure to practice in the State of Tennessee.
