POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing all operational and production facets of a portfolio of maintenance accounts, including labor, materials, and equipment management. This role reports directly to the Branch Manager and is accountable for managing a business portfolio valued at a minimum of $1 Million.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Uphold the company’s vision, policies, and safety/training programs, ensuring compliance among team members.
  • Understand job specifications thoroughly and ensure adherence to quality and efficiency benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with management to develop seasonal work schedules, effectively coordinating manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure proper maintenance.
  • Respond promptly to client requests, managing operational challenges with innovative solutions. Work closely with the Client Management team to address client concerns as needed.
  • Oversee budget management and regularly review job cost reports to enhance productivity and efficiency. Provide strategic planning for optimal crew performance.
  • Lead multiple teams, assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff. Promote growth through training and development initiatives.
  • Educate employees on job safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Achieve the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
    • Quality Control Audits at 90% or above.
    • Safety Inspections completed at 100%, with 90% passing or better.
    • Contract Renewals at 95% or higher.
    • Timely completion of quality jobs within budgeted hours.
    • Positive feedback from Customer Surveys.
    • Equipment Inspections reflecting adherence to maintenance protocols.
    • Safe and efficient crew operations in line with company standards.
    • High accountability among crew leaders.
    • Consistent understanding and application of critical field best practices.
    • Employee development aligned with HR processes.
    • Adherence to best practices in time tracking, purchase orders, and scheduling.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of supervisory/management experience with a proven track record in employee training and development.
  • General knowledge of irrigation systems and turf management practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of leadership and clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality and trust when addressing sensitive issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Aspire is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel between client sites and operational locations as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
