About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Specialist to join our team at Peoples Bank. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for the trade and settlement processes for all mutual funds and equity securities held in the trust department on our custodian system and on other custodian platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all mutual funds traded through our system, trust, and external brokerages, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Reconcile trading issues and outages, troubleshoot problems, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Process short-term trading fees, reconcile mutual fund and held-away positions, and facilitate the movement of monthly shareholder service fees.
- Provide fund information research and support to the investment team as needed, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all holder information requests.
- Assist with variable note income processing, participate in cross-training, and maintain up-to-date procedures within the department training database.
- Perform special projects as assigned and contribute to the team's success by being reliable, proactive, and results-driven.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in business or 1-3 years of prior experience in Financial Services or Accounting industry; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage time, organize priorities, and multitask with daily interruptions, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access skills a plus.
