About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Learning Coach to join our team at Community Minded Enterprises. As an Early Learning Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of young children in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching, technical assistance, training, and resources to childcare providers to help them improve the quality of their early learning programs.
  • Collaborate with Child Care Aware of Washington (CCA of WA) and the University of Washington (UW) to offer onsite and virtual coaching to childcare providers.
  • Assist licensed centers and family childcare educators to enter and progress through WA State's Early Achievers system.
  • Provide culturally relevant and inclusive coaching to childcare providers to build capacity around various domains, including early learning topics, technology, and quality-related improvements.
  • Utilize Instructional-Based Coaching and Practice-Based Coaching to support and identify program strengths and opportunities for growth.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and professional learning communities to Early Achievers participants.
  • Input coaching work and other information into the Impact database, CECI, WA Compass, or other approved databases; complete reports and documentation as outlined by contract deliverables.
Requirements
  • Bilingual/bi-literate in Spanish preferred.
  • BA in ECE or a related degree is preferred. AAS in ECE is required, with a plan to achieve a BA in 5 years. A scholarship for a BA in ECE might be possible.
  • Minimum experience in early childhood education or related field and working with young children in a group setting.
  • Knowledge of the Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines.
  • Proven ability to effectively support and motivate people toward the achievement of desired goals.
  • Knowledge of Washington State childcare licensing and the regulatory environment surrounding family and center-based childcare.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of childcare licensing program policies and early childhood education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of rules and regulations governing Early Achievers.
  • Willing to complete Practice-Based Coaching Certificate through UW. A scholarship might be possible.
  • Current valid driver's license and liability insurance. Ability to pass ongoing background checks.
