The US_Prog_Jov_Direct_CPA is dedicated to delivering essential medical care and alleviating distress for animals affected by neglect and cruelty. We partner with various organizations to ensure that animals receive the support they need, especially those whose owners face financial hardships.

Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians are devoted professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional care to animals and collaborating with a skilled veterinary team to ensure high-quality treatment for both outpatients and inpatients.

Our focus is on minimizing fear and stress for our patients, and team members are expected to uphold our standards of service and compassion.


Key Responsibilities:
Nursing Care and Client Services (40%):
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of veterinary medical principles.
- Deliver compassionate and quality care while adhering to Fear Free Guidelines.

- Exhibit proficiency in essential nursing skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care.

- Utilize critical thinking and multitasking abilities to prioritize tasks based on patient needs.
- Ensure respectful treatment of animals and clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' conditions and care plans.
- Document and relay any changes in patient status to the veterinarian.
- Administer medications and feed patients according to veterinary instructions.
- Maintain a safe environment using low-stress handling techniques.
Professionalism and Communication (40%):
- Represent the organization with professionalism and courtesy.
- Provide feedback on training needs and collaborate with colleagues.
- Adhere to organizational policies and maintain high standards of care.
- Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating efficiency under pressure.
- Attend training sessions and contribute to a safe working environment.
Housekeeping and Maintenance (20%):
- Ensure cleanliness of the facility, including kennels and equipment, following safety protocols.
- Maintain inventory and assist in supply management.
- Uphold all cleaning and safety standards to ensure a hygienic environment.
Additional Information:

We seek candidates who exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively or independently with integrity. A sense of humor, flexibility, and attention to detail are highly valued.

This position is full-time and may require weekend work. Candidates must obtain Fear Free Shelter certification within a specified timeframe after hiring.


Qualifications:

- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Completion of the Fear Free 8 module course or willingness to complete it promptly.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of veterinary protocols and shelter medicine is preferred.
